Nian could be considered average or more on the taller averages when it comes to her height. She has a very vivacious body complete with the appealing curves in all the right places, helping her hold a mature figure. Her face is that of a young adult with her skin slightly tanned. She holds long blue-black braid that reaches down to the middle of her spine, her bangs cut just above her eyes. Two feline ears sit on the side of her head unlike the norm - often perked up to reveal a tuft of fluffy or drooped down to show off the entirety of her golden fur. A matching golden tail sprouts from the base of her spine, both tail and ears tipped with dark brown that could border on black.
She'll wear more revealing clothing more often than not, her armor usually consisting of either light or medium depending on what she can find. Color-wise, so long as it doesn't melt the eyes its good.

The only real difference between 'Nian' and 'Ellis' is that Ellis has bright red hair instead of the blue-black. And that she doesn't have any feline features. She's relatively healthy despite not leaving the house on a regular occasion but her fashion has taken a real blow. Being a manga artist whose obsessed with the virtual world whether its funny videos or fully on, life absorbing games; Ellis has devolved into that anti-social, overworked lady who wears nothing but thick rimmed glasses and layers upon layers while her air conditioner freezes the house at seventy degrees. Plus she has a cat who gives her little 'love scratches/bites'.
« personality »
Ellis is an extremely honest person so trying to create a persona for Nian is much harder for then one would think. They both share their brutal opinions of others whether good or bad, calling her unrestrained would probably be better. Still, Ellis and Nian are both relatively friendly if not also a bit of a tease. While she doesn't go as far as bullying, she does like to pick on others if only to see their 'cute' reactions.
Still, Nian tends to be more optimistic in the virtual world, her glass being half full rather than empty. While no exactly upbeat and bursting with energy she does hold a relatively high amount of ambition toward quests, raids, and other such things. The competitive nature in all its glory really. It tends to get even better when teasing is added. Oddly enough Nian isn't one for loyalty but rather holding a selective interest. More simply put, if you bore her she will drop you like twig and may just step on you if you disappoint her that much. The best word for that would undoubtedly be picky. But if one does manage to keep her attention for long periods of time, they'll realize Nian can be a comforting and supportive kitty.
But one thing to know about her is that she is quite the vengeful spirit. She doesn't take betrayal lightly and tends to get even darker when it comes to threats whether they are idle or not. She's serious to that point, itching for a fight at any given opportunity. She despises liars and anyone who can't speak their minds. But realization of that may be a little slow since that'll be mostly restrained. Mostly. There's problem with the overconfident and the cocky, in fact its funnier to tease those ones. A fun little habit of her's is that she likes to dote on healers, giving them hugs and little pats on the head whenever they do good.

LOCATION: Kyoto, Japan.
Ever since she was a young child, Ellis had always been absorbed into the virtual world. Her family, consisting of her mother and brother; did little to voice against her growing obsessions until the much later years but by then it was too late. She had more friends online than in school and so long as she kept her grades above C, her mother did little to rebuke her. It wouldn't do for a professor in phsics to let her son or daughter fall into the mud after all. But Ellis still lived a relatively happy childhood in her birth city of Kyoto, people would often mistake her for a full foreigner thanks to her red hair, blue eyes, and name. But those traits were all from her father. But such idle things were place in the drawers of her memories. By the time Ellis had graduated high school, her brother had already been finishing up his last year in college and she'd already taken steps into the manga artist world.
Being home alone for the vast majority of the year, Ellis had drowned herself in games of every kind. Whenever the opportunity arose she would use the stats from old characters into new games. It was addicting, having that bonus. Sometimes she would even blow off her deadlines to play the newest thing. Of course she could never tear herself away from her favorites for long. Not long at all. But then, she'd started playing ALO when the whole SAO incident had finished and she could never tear herself away from that.

Silver light streamed in from the virtual night outside. A bustle could be heard though despite the later hours of the town. It was a good thing NPCs didn't sleep Nian had decided, sighing a breath of relief when she stared out the window of her tavern room's window. She hadn't been able to escape the nagging of her elder brother, something about too many dirty socks; till now. In her time, it was almost two in the morning and usually most people would be passed out. Nian was one of those 'most people', but desire defeated need in her case. Well it wasn't like she was going to be needed anywhere tomorrow. Yeah, sure - her publisher would be mad if she slept in but what they didn't know wouldn't hurt them. Besides even if she had gone to bed they'd still be mad at her... She was a full day behind on her work.
But enough of that dull drear of real life! Nian was in the night realm of fairies, there was no time for schedules! With a grin on her face, the woman hopped from her bed; effectively kicking the door open with gusto and marching down the hall like she'd just defeated a boss. Of course she'd calmed her march to a casual walk by the time she'd gotten down to the bar area, not like she would need to with the lack of folks though. Only a few others sat and drank, most of them of mixed races. Not too surprising knowing that ALO was becoming more and more popular by the hour. Silently moving around the tables, Nian exited the twin doors with a hint of laughter echoing behind her from the patrons. Oh how nice it must have been to be able to get drunk in a virtual game. Despite the tasting factor and the realistic effects, Nian experienced very little in terms of a buzz. In fact, it was like drinking nasty water with no subtle happy kick. Dreadful.
Speaking of which, she had yet to try out some cuisines she'd heard from some passerby players the other day. Something about roasted lizards in the Salamander turf. But of course, seeing as how the Cait Sith, Sylphs, and Salamanders had a whole war thing going on; it wouldn't be very likely that she would be able to get to the fire fairy nation with all her limbs in tact. So what did one do when they couldn't go to the origin? They made it!.. or bought it. Depended on who you asked. And so Nian opened up her map, trying to figure out where the best place to find the ingredients that she'd... 'overheard' the others talk about.
