luna's of a petite height standing at only five feet two inches. the feature she loves most about her avatar is the long blue hair that was randomly given to her when she first joined alo. her blue eyes are of an ice color standing out from her pale skin. Clothing wise she chooses a white dress adorned with blue and a white with matching boots and a tiara winged headband for an accessory.

In real life, mitsuki has long brown hair, not as along as her avatar but more to her mid back. Her chocolate hair go hand in hand with her blue eyes very similar to those of her avatar, she usually sports her uniform or casual clothing composing of a skirt, a dress, or shorts unless its cold and a fitting top. fitness wise she is a very healthy young adult, through out her teen and pre-teen years she played club and varsity football (soccer). her legs, arms and abs are very toned, she is very speedy and has some arm strength

young years
mitsuki yamada was born and raised in the bustling, fast-paced city of tokyo. growing up she loved walking around and seeing the many lights flashing through the city with manga stores and video game displays. she is the middle child of three, the only girl in the bunch because of this she has always been sporty always chasing and trying to keep up with her brothers. she found her talent of soccer at the age of 6, when she first started training, while her brothers began focusing on their own talents.
when she started school, she started getting bullied because of her height and the fact that she was the class "teachers pet." she became reserved though more quick to temper, a trait that helped her in the field when she needed to be tough and shove girls out of the way. but school wise it made it difficult to make friends, at this time she began to drown herself in manga, anime, and video games anything to try and be in a different world, one where she could be herself.
as she grew and started junior high school she noticed how distant her family had become. each sibling was focused on their own thing and her parents were either working or busy trying to get the kids to their respective practices. she felt very separated from everyone as she only saw them on sunday's if there was nothing going on.
aincrad (sao)
at the age of sixteen mitsuki felt as if her life was in a sad situation so she saved up her money and bought a nervegear, she convinced her mother to help her wait in line for two days for the release of sao, which she managed to get a copy of. now with a new system and a new game she rapidly jumped into the game, with the promise that she would only play for a couple of hours and then help her mom with chores for the next month.
on the first day on aincrad she had panicked, she had never played a virtual reality game before as none existed before sao, she didn't know the world, she didn't know anyone. she was all alone in a game that might very well kill her. she noticed a couple of people heading off towards the field and followed. she realized that she would have to become stronger to survive the world. she trained and by the end of the first day she had managed to level up, lifting her spirits and her confidence in herself.
after a month of training, luna and her friends decided to attend the meeting of diavel to see how they were going to clear the first floor, seeing how everyone in that meeting were higher level than them, they decide to not participate in the battle, except for one gemi continues on. after the first floor is cleared, gemi rejoins them and tells them about the beater and how he barely survived while a couple in the raid did lose their lives. the realization of how real this was struck her and she became more determined to get out but also she became more scared. by the end of december, her second month trapped she is level 15 along with her party. the following month, they train every second possible quickly rising through the levels. she undertakes a quest to collect a vial of liquid from the forest for an npc. everything is going well until they are trapped by cheetah like creatures. luna managed to get herself and her best friend out as she was the quickest, but two of her friends were overwhelmed by the fast creatures, she heard them die as they cried out in fear. this broke her.
after that event they went their separate ways except for luna and her best friend sora, they decide to join a new guild the "blades of the storm". over the next couple months the guild grows in ranks and in skills and by the time the next december crosses her path both sora and luna switched guilds and are part of the front lines on floor fourty-nine. they spend the next three months on the front lines until luna gets tired of seeing so much death happening during the boss raids. she decides to take a break and wanders around aincrad helping out those in need, especially the young children still on the first floor.
during that time she continued her training and on her birthday in june 2024 she rejoins the from line after missing sora. the two participate in the attack and capture of the black coffin where luna comes close to death after stumbling after swinging her sword and missing her intended target, after her scare she once again decides to leave the front lines to go back to her and sora's home on the 36th floor. where she spent time calming her thoughts before once again returning to sora on the 75th floor of aincrad, she notices that the front line group seems to be getting smaller and smaller.
on november 7th, they raid the boss the skull reaper. during the fight luna and sora are part of the support flanking the giant snake skull monster on the side. they seem to be doing well getting the monster to half its health. which is when it changed its attack pattern swinging out with its tail luna watches in horror as it rushes towards her and five others including sora. she suddenly felt her body flying through the air but not because of the hit but because her party threw her out of the way. she cried out as she saw her older party bodies break into hundreds of blue shining triangular pieces. with a new found rage she fought back until there was nothing to fight anymore.
luna couldn't help but tremble even in her paralyzed state on the ground as the events unfolded. after heathcliff was defeated she cried out in relief that it was all over even though she was saddened that both had died in game. as the game crumbled she saw her vision turn back and when it came back she was in quiet room with machines beeping around her.
post-sao
during her recovery period she managed to find the families of her final party along with sora. after spending weeks contacting them and telling them stories of her dead comrades she felt a weight lifting from her shoulders. sora became like a sibling to her and her brothers. she slowly became positive gaining a new perspective on life, her family became close once more and she eventually found herself buying alo. unlike many others she did not transfer her avatar, she didn't want to relieve those memories of the past two years of her life. but she decided that she wouldn't give up her love of video games.

sweat trickled down her face as she stared at the giant monster in front of her. The beast had to be a couple meters long, with two long bladed skulls and big red eyes. luna felt these eyes burn holes through her as it screamed in rage leaping forward to stretching its large claw to two men desperately running away from it. her mouth opened but no sound came out as the two men were struck down in front of everyone's eyes.
everyone seemed to lose their nerve as the beast continued about striking at anyone who was frozen in fear, it seemed to want to avoid those willing to fight. after hearing orders she nodded sprinting forward with sora at her side, her sword flashed bright as she felt her arms fill with the energy of one of her sword skills. Her arm quickly swung arcs in the air as she slashed the side of the monster as others joined around her. As the skills wore down she activated another one, one requiring less strain of her body. she pulled back before jabbing the skeletal body in front of her. The monster began circling around swinging its tail, luna and the others quickly moved out of the way. her mind spun as she tried to figure out a pattern, her blue eyes gazing her surroundings as her brown ponytail stuck to her back.
as its health dwindled down the battle became tougher, luna popped open a potion bottle as she stood behind those fighting drinking its contents quickly before her health went from yellow to green. Luna raised her sword and with a yell activated another sword skill before running towards the monster. They were going to do this, they were going to win, they were going to survive.
