ouroboros is quite the charming young man. while on the taller side, his body is lean and lithe, and a lack of armor will show defined muscles on his arms, legs, and torso. milky skin free of scars or tattoos allow his blue eyes to pop. long hair colored purple for his race can become quite the hassle while playing, and he usually keeps most of it up in a ponytail. the locks that fall out of the ponytail are often ignored until he can return to a safe location to fix it. the loose hair has a tendency to hide his ears which are pointed at the tip. his darkly colored wings resemble that of a bat's, one of the main reasons why he had chosen the imp race in the first place.

yuuta doesn't look too much like his avatar, even though he would absolutely adore to look that good. his skin takes on more of an olive tone to it, and his hair is much shorter, kept no longer than his shoulders as he doesn't really want to deal with it. his hair is naturally black; however, he has dyed it a couple of times. currently, he maintains his natural hair color with blond highlights. yuuta is also a tad bit scawnier than ouroboros, and he often covers himself in sweaters and hoodies far too large for him. ah, let us not forget the glasses he has to wear when reading.

LOCATION: shakotan, hokkaido, japan
the day of yuuta's birth took a life just to present him into the world. his frail mother died not long after childbirth, her body giving out after such stress. without a father or any living relatives, yuuta was put up for adoption with nothing more than a name. he was adopted into a family who only kept him around until he was four. by then, they were struggling with money after the husband lost his job. the wife decided to put him back up for adoption in hopes of him finding better living conditions. he lived in a horrible orphanage until he was ten when another family took him in. once more, it didn't seem to last very long. he was twelve when he found himself at the orphanage again; however, this time it was because of criminal charges to the man and woman who had recently adopted him.
From then, yuuta decided that he probably wasn't going to find a stable home with others. he began going to the library more often, teaching himself the necessities of life since the lady running the orphanage couldn't enroll him into school. he even took up odd jobs in the neighborhood, slowly building up his savings from a young age. there were only a few families who came to look at him with the potential of adoption, but they always ended up taking a younger orphan instead. he grew used to it to a point where he was... null.
whenever he tired of the library, he went to the local arcade. his pocket change from odd jobs were used to play countless hours of classics along with the strange prize and rhythm games. when he was eighteen, the orphanage could no longer care for him. the head lady gave him enough money to get him started, and he was able to get himself an apartment along with a job. granted, it was working in a local grocery store. he hated it, but it was enough to get him by. he rarely impulse bought anything until the AMusphere was released. despite everything he had seen on the news about the sword art online incident, yuuta disregarded the risks and bought alfheim online along with the console.
every since then, his schedule involved work during the day and gaming during the night. he was fascinated with the world of alo, and there was even a time when he had branched out to try some of the other vmmorpgs. however, he always game back to alo. it was a break from reality, and it was a world he would much rather be in no matter what.

"yeah, yeah. see ya later."
the world around him went dark, fading out on the smiling faces of a small party of newcomers he had been roped into helping earlier that day. it had taken a while before he found a good enough reason to shake them after they insisted on pestering him for the rest of the session. he reached up, fingers pinching at the nose piece of the amusphere, slowly tugging the glasses-like machine off of his face. he waited a few moments, making sure that he could still feel his limbs, before he opened his eyes. he was met with darkness and only a faint, flashing light off to the side.
the man turned his head towards the light, squinting in a poor attempt at reading the illuminated numbers. four thirty-two in the morning. great. he had pulled another all-nighter. then again, when do i not? yuuta pushed himself up, placing the amusphere on his nightstand. he stood up, clasping his hands above his head as he stretched his muscles, sore from misuse. shuffling over to his closet, he pulled out a large red hoodie and forced it over his head, tousling his streaked hair after his hands were freed from the sleeves. he pulled back his hair, grabbing a nearby hair tie and looping it around his hair.
he reached down, grabbing a pair of jeans and shaking them off before stepping into them. he buttoned them as he headed towards his door, down the hall, and into the kitchen. the man grabbed an energy drink from the fridge, bringing it to his mouth as he headed outside, making sure to lock his apartment. i might as well be early to work for a change.
