A gentle breeze swept through the air, cooling the world. I can’t believe this is not a real world, Usagi though as she pulled her hair back over her ear, making sure that this calm wind did not pull it away. Ever since she was able to get her contract with Argus, and then Ymir, she had wanted to do what she could to understand the virtual world. Why were people so interested in it? What made it so much more desirable than the real world? Usagi did not want to ask these questions to other people, if she did she was sure the outcome would not be desirable. That is why she wanted to go out into the world of Alfheim and New Aincrad. If she could understand more about this world and the large draw that people had to it, then maybe she could find her answer.

Already she had seen enough to understand partially. The weather in the world was controlled to be the best suited for all the players. Rarely was there ever storm weather that would sweep through and cause harm to players. That is unless they ventured out into the fields and chose to overcome the dangers there. She herself had hardly left any of the safe zones. The only times she went out into the world to quest was when she was doing so for part of her work, asked to go with the victors of some event as their party member. That is why Airi had built her character for support. This game was only supposed to be part of her job, and that is what she was going to use it for.

Thinking about all this she released a sigh before gazing around at her surroundings. The Town of Beginnings was truly exciting, though for some it could be the symbol of fear. Usagi could not think about how she would have reacted in the situation that the ten thousand people were put into when the SAO Incident occurred. That is all what ifs, I have to deal with reality, she told herself as she started to gain more energy.

With a slight movement the girl twirled her body from the tree branch she was on and landed on the ground with both feet. Her feet were together and her hands were outstretched in the air making a “T”. Upon reaching the ground she was prepared to investigate the Town of Beginnings for everything that it had to offer.

“Time to get started,” she smiled.

It was a pleasant day for the New Aincrad area, perfect for the feeling the Town of Beginnings gave off. Nian had walked the town's streets for a few hours now with the idea to completely blow off works still fresh in her mind. Plus she was out of ideas. Dry minded meant death for a manga artist such as herself so in order to rejuvenate her 'poor, tortured soul'; Nian had decided a change of scenery was to be in order. So here she was, playing one-man-catch with one dagger while she pretty much butted into other peoples' conversations. Not like they minded in the long run though.

Throughout the time she'd been online the most the Cait Sith had managed to gather was idle news and some very... interesting 'private' stories. Particularly the embarrassing ones. Those ones were always the best in her opinion. It would've probably been better if she actually went out and did something, like; get cooking materials. She needed plates of something in order to get a pet or so she'd heard but somehow despite all odds, the woman had yet to even start on that project. Plus it wasn't like she knew what monsters liked to eat except for maybe cat monsters. Those liked fish or at least they're supposed to like fish. They're cats after all. What cat doesn't like fish?

Thinking on that theory, Nian wandered a bit more. At least until she saw peculiar sight. A girl hopping down out of a tree with the most perfect pose in the end. "That was mighty well landed little fairy." Nian called out to the girl. She looked like the Sylphs if only thanks to the blond option available to their race along with green, but the girl's clothes were like those she expected. She hadn't met many of the other races outside Undines, Salamanders, and her kind; Sylphs included into that mix. The only real way for her to tell would be to see the girl's wings. And lets be honest, that was never hard. "Pumping yourself up for somethin' exciting?"

Just as Usagi had been contemplating which direction she would start in for this exploration quest, she heard a voice directed towards her. The obviously female voice was complimenting her on the landing she had made from the tree. Simply hearing a compliment on something she had learned and could perform in the real world was enough to get a smile from her.

“Thanks,” she replied while searching the area for the person that the voice belonged to. The person that was coming closer must be the owner. The player was taller than she was, and had dark hair. The most noticeable of her features were the feline ears that sat in place of the pointed fairy ones that other races had.

When she was originally creating her avatar with the help of her work, they wanted her to choose the Cait Sith race. She was told it was so that she could have an avatar that would be able to attract the most amount of attention. The cat ears and tail would have been able to let her capitalize on the moe attracted to the nekomimi appearance. For a reason like that Airi had refused to go with that plan and wanted to be able to fulfill her job in her own way. She chose the Pooka race because it would be the easiest for her to use her natural abilities to her advantage. As she was getting lost in this old set of thoughts, her attention was pulled back to the world when the other player asked her if she was getting pumped up for something.

“Yeah,’ she replied immediately with a voice full of excitement, ‘I was about to start my exploration of this city. I only made it from the gate to this area, I have yet to see what this place has to offer.”

Surely there would be a great number of things to see in the Town of Beginnings. After all it was one of the larger cities in the game, able to compete with the capital cities in Alfheim.

“What brings you here?” Usagi asked while putting her hands together behind her back.
